The Social Media Component
The Golden Plate Challenge relies heavily on social media to connect with everyone involved. In fact, Facebook is integral to its success. As part of the contest, contestants have to post their recipes on the GPC Facebook page for everyone to see. This is how the judges are able to compare all the entries and make their selections. The general public votes for their own favorite entries too. The contestant with the most "likes" each round earns the coveted wildcard spot to cook head-to-head with the judges' picks. We encourage you to follow the contest because it's the easiest and fastest way to stay up to date with what's going on with the Golden Plate Challenge. Help spread the word by liking this page and telling all your friends and family about it too! We want to make the GPC as big as possible because the more it grows, the more we can help Second Harvest feed hungry families throughout middle Tennessee. |
